1. Associate Degree in Applied English Studies by CUHK – Tung Wah
Group of Hospitals Community College.

2. Diploma Programme in Business Communication for Executives by CUHK -
School of Continuing Studies

3. Professional Diploma Programme in Corporate Communication (Cycle 2)
by CUHK – School of Continuing Studies

4. ENGLISH FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSES by PolyU SPEED

5. BA in English for International Corporate Communication by Community
College of City University

6. BA in English for International Business by Community College of City
University

7. Associate Degree in English for Professional Communication by Community College of
City University

8. Professional Business English by CityU SCOPE

9. Diploma in Business English by HKU SPACE

10. The SPACE English Course by HKU SPACE

Business? Mass Communication?

  2. danRyan says:

  3. Lotte says:

I am pretty much the same as you. Got a degree ten years ago. Working in US a few years too. But still believe my English is not up to “standard”. I am planning to join “Diploma in Business English by HKU SPACE” in Sept 2005. Not sure other classes on your list, too lazy to check.

We might be in the same class

  5. danRyan says:

That’s also one of my concerns. But that already the most advance English course that HKU SPACE could offer, they said. And seems their tution charge is pretty reasonable.

Well… before that, I am intended to join a Master course holded by HKU SPACE and University of London on “International Business Management”. Sounds interesting, but since my first degree got from the US is not business related. They need me to take GMAT. …after I read a book to learn what is GMAT. Guess what, I’m even more feel like a F.5 student than you do

Thus, I need something to warm up. And don’t really mind if that simply a relaxing class. You may have a better suggestion though

I bit sidetrack. Saw you having lots of photos from travelling. Guess you might love travelling much. Not sure which country you like most. I was back from Singapore last year. I’m a Singapore PR now. Singapore giving me very good impression compares to other countries. (but I believe most people do not think so, because they usually only stay there 1-2 days). My previous job gave me lots of travelling opportunities. Thus, I could have chance to immerse on different culture and have plenty of time to enjoy my photo taking fun

Comparing the 3 years in Singapore, 1 years in Penang Malaysia, 2 years in Palo Alto California, and ~ half my life in Hong Kong. I still vote Singapore the best place to stay. California is good, however, you got to have a job to give you exciting income to keep the happy moment. I don’t much enjoying life in Malaysia. Malaysian are too slow. But KK island in Sabah are the best resort that you must go. At least once a life time.

  8. Peter says:

Ha ha, sorry sorry! I can’t type Chinese. It’ll take me a year to compose a sentence by Q9. :-P

:relief:

  10. Peter says:

“Yeah Lor”, 100% agree. At least they have a “smart” governor to lead that small island to survive and success. Many years ago, Singapore governor send their officers to Hong Kong to learn from us. Today, guess they’ll say “No Joke Lah, please…”

  11. danRyan says:

  12. Peter says:

Dan Buddy, I have no longer work for that company lah. Had resigned one year ago before moving back to Hong Kong. … long story.

Now, I guess I am even worst than you do. Am 100% jobless :D That’s why wanna join some classes to rebuilt my confidence. Anyhow, if nothing really interested in Hong Kong for another year. I will probably move out to live in other country.

Just registered to join HKU SPACE’s “Exec. Dip. for China Mkt. Mgrs.” Is a 9 weeks course. Hope will find some identication where I should going. (May be not joining the Dip. for Business English lor. Not much money left :p )

Hey man, if you knew me earlier. I definately could show you the exciting life within Singapore. Nothing less than those in Hong Kong, or other big city. Including nite life and anything even a local Singaporean did not knew. Guarantee good for you to write a book ;)

by the way, what is your career? I was an IT and Marketing folk for more than 10 years. (until now become “jobless in Hong Kong” :D )

  13. danRyan says:

  14. Celia says:

    Hi~
