Up in Auckland they are already quite into serious money now though HK-style overtime is still relatively rare. Wehn I was still living there a couple of years ago I heard some people working as sales consultants would try to cramp 80 work hours into their weekly schedules - these are usually rising stars in that field. Others who work for Auckland mayor Dick Hubbard's health food factory has to work for two shifts totaling about 60+ hours to survive. I heard a number of professional people in Auckland now work around 50-54 hours and certainly lawyers and accountants will work 60+. Some of us in engineering professions do as well, it we are still pretty "idle". Haha only down south will you be able to enjoy life like this :wink: .
